As a machining apprentice produce complex and precision machined products for the Oil and Gas industry.
As an apprentice you will learn to use a variety of machines to carry out your work, for example, vertical and horizontal milling machines, single and multi-axis Computer Numeric Control (CNC) machine tools centres, and electro discharge machines using variety of metals including aluminium, alloy steel, stainless steel, inconel, and titanium.
You will be trained to set, operate, adjust or edit machine tool settings and produce, prove and edit programmes for our CNC machines. You’ll learn to read engineering drawings, inspect the components you produce, report issues and support continuous improvement activities.
